Travelodge has released a list of weird and wonderful items lost and found across their UK hotels over the span of the last year - and some of the forgotten-about gems are truly remarkable.

The budget hotel chain has some 582 hotels across the United Kingdom, and they have been kind enough to share with ChronicleLive some of the wildest things left behind in Newcastle.

Some of the wildest finds include three paintings, Versace shoes and a box of 500 National Lottery scratch card wedding favours.
