The Weeknd at Marlay Park: Everything to know from stage times, ticket information, support acts, and parking

The Weeknd is set to take to the stage at Marlay Park tonight in front of thousands of fans for his sold out show in Dublin.

The 33-year-old Canadian pop star is in the capital for his current tour After Hours til Dawn. Fans lucky enough to get tickets to one of the most anticipated gigs of the summer will be belting out The Weeknd's greatest hits like 'Blinding Lights', 'Can't Feel My Face', and 'The Hills.'

The Weeknd's Marlay Park gig is completely sold out, but there's a chance that resale tickets could be around so it's worth keep an eye out.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of tonight's concert:

How to get there

Promoters MCD are warning attendees to leave at least two hours to get to the venue at Marlay Park for Wednesday night There are a number of ways to reach the venue:

Dublin Bus

There are a couple of Dublin Bus routes that can drop you off near Marlay Park. The number 14 and 75 bus will take you to Ballinteer Shopping Centre, then it's just a short 10 minute walk to the venue.

The numbers 16, 116, and 161 buses also serve the Grange Road entrances of Marlay Park close to the concert site.

Luas

The Luas green line will be running from the city centre to Dundrum and Balally. There's also a shuttle bus from Dundrum Luas station to Marlay Park departs every half hour from 2pm for both shows.

If you fancy a walk, it's a 35-minute stroll to Marlay Park from the Dundrum Luas stop.

Private bus coaches

A concert shuttle bus by Marathon Sports Travel is the most direct form of transport to the concert, and the drop-off point is directly outside Marlay Park.

Car

Concertgoers who are driving from the city centre can access the mark via Ranelagh, Clonskeagh, Goatstown, Sandyford, Grange Road and then onto College Road for car parks. If you're taking the M50, exit M50 at Junction 13 Interchange (Dundrum).

The car park entrance is located on College Road and is accessed via Whitechurch Road. Only those who have pre-booked parking will be permitted entry into the car park.

Are there any tickets left?

The Weeknd's gig at Marlay Parktonight is sold out-but being that said, eagle eyed fans could still scoop up resale tickets via Ticketmaster. So it's worth checking Ticketmaster later today.

Organisers have advised ticket holders to download, save or print their tickets well in advance of arriving at the venue to avoid any issues or entry delays.

Ticketmaster box offices and guest list services will be located at the Grange Road and College Road entrances of Marlay Park.

Gates open and stage times

Gates open for The Weeknd at 4pm, with support acts Kaytranada and Mike Dean scheduled to kick off at roughly 5pm, according to concert promoters MCD.

MCD is warning fans that no overnight or early queuing is allowed. Judging by recent dates on the same tour, you can expect The Weeknd himself to appear on stage at around 9pm.

He plays for around an hour and 40 minutes on his current global tour.

Banned items

Concertgoers are forbidden from bringing garden furniture, deckchairs, fold-up chairs, or shooting sticks into Marlay Park. Umbrellas, flagpoles, folding chairs, or alcohol will be confiscated at the ticket barriers.

Backpacks, bags over A4 size, professional cameras and recording equipment are also banned.

Setlist for Marlay Park

The Weeknd's recently played the Johan Cruijff Arenam in Amsterdam on Saturday, so can expect the set list to similar to that show for tonight's Dublin gig:
