Walmart’s Black Friday Sale Is Already Live – And These Homes & Gardens Editor-Approved Deals Are Too Good to Miss

Neutral living room with open wooden shelves either side of a fireplace and a vintage-style rug .

Black Friday is no longer confined to a single day. While November 28 may traditionally be the key date to mark in your diary for the biggest shopping event of the year, in recent years it has evolved into a month-long affair, with brands releasing deals earlier and earlier. Walmart is no exception, having just launched its Black Friday event that's running over this weekend (14th-16th November) and beyond.

Now, there is no denying that the Walmart website is vast, which means its deals are also vast. But that's where we come in, to help navigate all the best Walmart Black Friday deals and share the ones worth shouting about.

We've also included handy links to each of the department sales that are live right now, and a selection of home products we always look for discounts on at Walmart. Whether you're looking for the best Ninja air fryers or the best Keurig coffee makers, this is how to save big.

Shop Walmart sales by department

The Walmart Black Friday sale is where you'll find everything from coffee makers to furniture to robot vacuums, with savings upwards of $200 – even on big brands.

Or, to shop by department, here's an easy, quick list of the sales:

How do you know if you've got a good deal at Walmart?

Download the Walmart app

When you download the Walmart app, you can use the 'Savings Catcher' function. Scan your receipt or enter your purchase number into the app, and you'll be able to see price differences from the same products at other local retailers.

If you find the exact same product listed somewhere for less, then Walmart might issue an eGift Card to make up the difference.

Use price comparison sites

To make sure you are getting the lowest price, we always use price comparison sites to see what the same product is available for elsewhere.

Honey is great for this. It's a browser extension that will instantly show you if the same product is being sold at a lower price on a different site. You can also see price history up to the past 120 days, so you can check whether you're getting a genuinely good deal or if the price has been inflated before the sale hits.

Google Shopping is another useful tool to compare prices across different sites, but be cautious as it only displays prices from affiliated partners. For the most thorough research, you'll have to check different sites yourself.

Sign up for Walmart+

Walmart+, is a membership similar to Amazon Prime that gets you free delivery and exclusive discounts. You get a 30-day free trial and then it's $12.95 per month or $98 per year.

Opt for Walmart Pickup

When you opt for Walmart Pickup, you get to avoid shipping fees, which can make a major difference to the size of your purchase. Use the Walmart store locator to find your nearest outlet.

When is the best time to shop at Walmart?

Walmart Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales

This year, Black Friday falls on November 28, and Cyber Monday is December 1. But Walmart has already started its Black Friday sale, so you don't have to wait for the day to shop for the best deals right now.

Walmart Rollbacks

A rollback is a temporary price reduction on a particular product, rolling back the numbers to a previous, lower price. Whether you're looking for Dyson deals or patio furniture deals, you'll find rollbacks on pretty much everything at some point.

Rollbacks pop up randomly and last anywhere from a couple of days to a few weeks to months. It's worth keeping a close eye on the Walmart savings tab to see what's on offer.

Walmart Flash Deals

Every week, Walmart runs Flash Deals, offering up to 65% off household essentials and impulse purchases.

It's all too easy to be taken in by the low prices and end up buying things you don't need and won't use.

One way to make flash deals work for you is to only browse the page when you need to add another item to get free shipping. Think cleaning essentials: Wipes, dish soap, or other home staples to get over the threshold. It's never money wasted.

Walmart offers such a breadth of products and depth of discounts that it can be hard to tell the difference between a good deal and a low price on a poor product. It's worth learning how to shop Walmart like an interiors editor to get the most for your money.
