Danny Ward 7
Produced a brilliant save to deny Lewandowski in the first half. Marshalled his area reasonably well too. An encouraging outing ahead of Sunday. Subbed.
Chris Gunter 6
Appeared to find the pace of the game a little too much at times, but still made some crucial interventions. A reasonable effort.
Chris Mepham 6
Made some strong blocks to keep Poland at bay, and was often in the right place at the right time to clear the decks when needed. However, he sometimes looked a little sluggish in reading Poland's efforts in the final third.
Rhys Norrington-Davies 7
Felt like he was everywhere at times. No player on either side won more in the air. Made a couple of decent interceptions and also helped kickstart a couple of Wales attacks. A decent showing.
Wes Burns 7
A very accomplished debut. Looked composed on the ball and combative in the tackle. Had a couple of decent efforts blocked and contributed nicely to his side's efforts going forward. Subbed.
Dylan Levitt 7 - STAR MAN
Lost his man a little too easily for Zielinski's early chance, but grew into the game superbly. No player made more tackles than the midfielder. Threaded the ball into the front two brilliantly on a couple of occasions too.
Matt Smith 5
Was exposed for both of Poland's goals. Playing the right wing-back role, he was turned inside out at times, and couldn't quite build on several promising flashes. Can't fault his effort, but this wasn't his best display. Did make a couple of tidy interceptions, mind.
Joe Morell 6
Worked his socks off in the middle of the park and was typically combative, earning a booking for a rash challenge for his troubles. Made some strong interventions, but couldn't do enough to maintain his side's midfield shape as Poland pressed.
Jonny Williams 7
Dispossessed a little too easily early on, but recovered nicely as the game wore on, putting his body on the line when needed. Took his goal brilliantly. Subbed.
Kieffer Moore 7
Linked up brilliantly with James. Held the ball up nicely and showed some nice touches. Physicality was clearly a challenge for the Polish defence, but there's clearly so much more in his locker. Subbed.
Daniel James 7
Final ball was perhaps lacking, but it would be harsh to be too critical. His pace was far and away the biggest headache for Poland in the first half. Spurned a superb chance to give his side the lead, but on the whole this was a very promising run out. Subbed.
Subs :
Wayne Hennessey (on for Ward 45) - Couldn't really do much about either goal, but didn't do anything to suggest that he'll be starting ahead of Ward on Sunday - 6
Rabbi Matondo (on for James 45) - One of his best outings in a Wales shirt. Pace and trickery caused plenty of problems. Involved in build-up for opener too - 7
Mark Harris (on for Moore 45) - Made a couple of really tidy runs and held up play reasonably well - 6
Neco Williams (on for Burns 62) - One snapped shot aside, didn't really have much of an impact - 6.
Sorba Thomas (on for J.Williams 77) - Showed some classy touches but as above really.
