The 'vabbing' trend taking over TikTok which some people think is the most disgusting thing they've ever seen

It's fair to say that TikTok can be a crazy place sometimes. All manner of thing can start trending on the app, with a range of content from dancing to travel and fashion racking up millions of views.

Some of it can be pretty gross, too. For instance, an audiologist from south Wales has achieved viral success with his videos of ear wax removal, while 'pimple popping' accounts have drawn in hundreds of thousands of followers in recent years.

However, thanks to a recent trend, there might be a new contender for the most disgusting thing on TikTok. It's called 'vabbing' and while some women swear by it, others on the app have been left horrified by what they've witnessed.

If the name hasn't already given it away, 'vabbing' is simply vaginal dabbing, or using vaginal fluid as a perfume. The idea behind this insane sounding idea is that vaginal secretions contain pheromones, which help to attract potential male partners.

Now, women all over TikTok are putting the sexual attraction technique to the test, rubbing their vaginal fluid on their wrists, neck and behind their ears in an attempt to land themselves a date. Yes, really.

The trend appears to have originated from a video posted by TikToker Mandy Lee. In the clip, she explains that a woman using her own discharge is more effective than using other 'pheromone perfumes', and encourages her female viewers to "get up there and give 'em a swipe".

In the now-deleted clip, she said: "We need to talk about vabbing, because I've seen one too many ads for pheromone perfumes, and that's not it, I'm going to tell you why. Pheromones are a secreted chemical hormone and every person's pheromones smell different to different people and in the wild, animals secrete their pheromones to attract mates.

"I swear if you vab, you will attract people, a date, a one night stand or you'll just get free drinks all night. Elle Woods should have been teaching vabbing instead of the bend and snap, it's more effective and you're just gonna have to hear me out. Trust me.

She added: "Get up there, give 'em a swipe. You don't have to be fresh out of the shower clean but relatively clean. Dab, vab behind the ears, on the wrists, maybe a little on the neck. I don't know what they're putting in pheromone perfume but it can't replicate your own smell and your own personalised chemicals. Proceed with caution - because it works."

Despite Mandy's impassioned sell, many others on the social media site weren't convinced. However, some open-minded users were willing to give it a try and recorded their efforts with surprising results.

One of these users, @jewlieah, 'vabbed' every day for a week and now believes in the merits of the technique. She claims that she has received compliments on her 'scent' by men and has even been asked on dates by strangers who have been seduced by her natural whiff.

In one video, the certified 'vabber' tried the technique out in the gym and managed to bag herself a date with someone she had never met before. Keep up to date with the latest viral TikTok videos and trends by clicking here.

She explained: "I was doing lunges on the treadmill and this guy comes up next to me, nobody else was standing that close to me but he was on the treadmill right next to me. I'm sweating like crazy because I'm working out. But then he turned to me and asked me some stupid question, I can't remember what it was.

He was just shooting his shot, just a way to break the ice. But anyway, he asked me out and we exchanged numbers and maybe I'll see him this week, I'll keep you updated."

Incredibly, other women on the app have also claimed that vabbing has worked for them, with men buying them drinks or asking them out on dates after applying the DIY perfume. However, while some viewers on TikTok have kept an open mind, others have branded it as one of the most disgusting things they had ever seen.

"I don't think I wanted to learn about this," commented one, while another wrote: "Surely not, are women actually doing this? Disgusting." Another remarked: "This is repulsive, are you not ashamed?"

"I'll never want a man this bad to this," added one viewer, with another writing: "I am disappointed in society." Some even begged for vabbing to be banned, with one writing: "You don't gotta do this, you don't have to do this at all. Just date like normal, please, men are easy to get. Just please do not do this, I beg of you."

Others claimed the trend was enough to put them off women forever. "Nope," said one, "I'm never going near a girl again." Meanwhile, another wrote, "Absolutely not. I am staying at least five meters away from everyone from now on. What is wrong with you guys?"
