The 'unknown' Amazon coupon page that gets you money off all year

Lightning discounts, warehouse deals, and outlet sections are just some of the 'hidden' pages aimed at helping consumers save money at the Amazon checkout. There's another part of the site shoppers can apply discount codes all year round, and not many people know about it.

This week Amazon is hosting its annual Prime Day sale, slashing prices across its site for 48-hours this July 11 and 12. Although, not everyone has to take part in the sale to make a saving, in fact, there's one section of the site shoppers can go to all year round to find money-off products.

Gone are the days of ripping out a coupon and handing it over to the cashier at checkout, now online shoppers get money off through various discount codes or sales but that's not the only case at Amazon. And it's thanks to its discreetly placed 'vouchers' section.

It's nearly identical to America's 'coupon' section but instead shoppers in the UK collect vouchers, a section of the site is designed to help shoppers find the best code for a product. To find it you go to the top of the site, just under the main Amazon search bar, and it's located next to Prime Video.

How to find an Amazon Voucher

This is where the 'old-style' trend of coupon collecting comes in, shoppers who visit this page can collect a voucher for a specific product, and once added to a shopper's basket the discount will automatically be applied. There's no need to worry about keeping the vouchers safe either, once clicked it will stay 'clipped' to a users account.

Although just like it's Prime 'lightning deals' shoppers are restricted with a short time limit, so once you spot a discount it's worth grabbing straight away.

What type of products are included with Amazon's coupons?

The section is also split into Amazon's usual categories, so shoppers can find products more easily and filter search results by 'discount percentage', 'newest', 'oldest', 'expiring soon' and 'most popular'.

Unlike the lightning deals which are vital for shoppers to find huge savings on big name brands like Apple, Samsung and Ninja, the vouchers section is a lot less, random. That doesn't mean the saving is too good to be true though.

It would be pointless for a site to offer various discounts on the same product across its site, so it's not unusual to see the different items featured in the voucher section. After having a scan, this section is aimed at shoppers looking to get some money-off generic shopping basket items - whether that's washing up liquid, dog food, shampoo, gradual tanner and kitchen appliances.
