The Umbrella Academy season 4 is the final season for our favorite group of superpowered siblings trying to save the world from supernatural doom.
In The Umbrella Academy season 3, not only did the paranormal gang have to face off against a rival clan of superpowered children called the Sparrow Academy, but there was an array dangerous action when they had to defeat the Kugelblitz from destroying the world. With the usual time-hopping excursions and doomsday looming, they managed to save the world, but we were once again left with more questions than answers after the final episode — which season 4 is expected to answer.
Showrunner Steve Blackman said of the renewal: "I'm so excited that the incredibly loyal fans of The Umbrella Academy will be able to experience the fitting end to the Hargreeves siblings' journey we began five years ago.
"But before we get to that conclusion, we've got an amazing story ahead for season four, one that will have fans on the edge of their seats until the final minutes."

The Umbrella Academy season 4 cast
The stars set to reprise their roles are Elliot Page as Viktor Hargreeves, Tom Hopper as Luther Hargreeves, David Castañeda as Diego Hargreeves, Emmy Raver-Lampman as Allison Hargreeves, Robert Sheehan as Klaus Hargreeves, Aidan Gallagher as Number Five, Justin H. Min as Ben Hargreeves, Ritu Arya as Lila Pitts and Colm Feore as Sir Reginald Hargreeves.
The Umbrella Academy announced new additions to the cast, including Nick Offerman as Dr. Gene Thibedeau, Megan Mullally as Dr. Jean Thibedeau and David Cross as Sy Grossman.
According to the account, "Offerman & Mullally will be playing Midwestern community college professors, Drs. Gene and Jean Thibedeau, while Cross will play Sy Grossman, an upstanding but shy man desperate to reconnect with his estranged daughter."

The Umbrella Academy season 4 plot
The ending of season 3 saw the heroes stepping into a new timeline where they had no powers and some of the members were suddenly missing, including Luther's new wife Sloane (Genesis Rodriguez). The group then split up, wanting to discover this new world as normal people.
Meanwhile, their father, Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore) was standing on top of a skyscraper in the city with his once late wife, which appeared to be the headquarters of his huge business empire Hargreeves Financial.
Here is the official plot synopsis for The Umbrella Academy season 4:
"The Hargreeves siblings have scattered after the climactic showdown at the Hotel Oblivion led to a complete reset of their timeline. Stripped of their powers, each is left to fend for themselves and find a new normal — with wildly varying degrees of success. Yet the trappings of their uncanny new world prove too hard to ignore for very long. Their father Reginald, alive and well, has stepped out of the shadows and into the public eye, overseeing a powerful and nefarious business empire. A mysterious association known as The Keepers holds clandestine meetings believing the reality they're living in is a lie and a great reckoning is coming. As these strange new forces conspire around them, the Umbrella Academy must come together one last time — and risk upsetting the shaky peace they've all endured so much to secure — to finally set things right."
Talking to Netflix Tudum, Steve Blackman teased more about what's to come in season 4.
He said: "This new timeline has been dictated by Hargreeves, who reprogrammed the Universe at the end of the Season 3 finale. But because of Allison’s actions, he didn’t get to finish what he started before Allison pressed the reset button.
"So, the siblings losing their powers isn’t going to be the only oddity in this timeline. There are new enemies who want to see them wiped out of existence, but how do they manage without their powers? Is there even a way to get them back? The stakes have never been greater."
Taking to Instagram, Steve gave us a teaser of what's to come as he shared the cover page of the script for the first episode of season 4, with the caption: "And so it begins… one last time ❤️☂️", revealing the ominous title for the premiere episode as The Unbearable Tragedy of Getting What You Want.
It also confirms that season 4 will consist of six episodes, making it the shortest season.
