A dog lover is claiming a new world record for calling in the most pubs in one day after visiting 67 boozers in 17 hours - but, sensibly, he only had a beer in less than half of them. Recruitment account manager Nathan Crimp, 22, trekked more than 18 miles after setting out on his epic pub crawl at 11am on Saturday morning.
During the charity challenge in his hometown of Brighton, East Sussex, he drank lager, beer and liqueur shots - collecting a receipt from each pub as evidence. He passed Gareth Murphy's Guinness Book of World Record attempt of 56 pubs in 24 hours after just over 10 hours.
Nathan's 57th pub, the one that saw the record broken, was The Cricketers. He started at Ye Olde Black Horse in Rottingdean.
