The Traitors has been a smash hit with viewers since premiering as contestants seek out saboteurs among the group.
Despite the deceit and jaw-dropping challenges - which include being buried alive - one of the biggest revelations of the series came when magician Tom Elderfield revealed his relationship with fellow contestant Alex Gray.
The explosive breakfast scene caused tension and tears among the group, with remaining players concerned the pair could have an advantage if one or both of them were 'Traitors'.
However, after his elimination Tom set the record straight and dished the dirt on one very important rule players must follow to avoid losing the cash prize. Speaking to RadioTimes.com, the 24-year-old magician said that a Traitor secretly revealing themselves to a Faithful would "sacrifice" the prize money.
The publication asked whether or not he would have told Alex if he was a Traitor, he responded: "That's against the rules. We were very, very clearly told that like even though we've got our alliance there... you're not allowed."
He continued: "[Our relationship] can be seen as unfair game – I think that's another nice reason that I thought it had to come out as like, let's be honest, people at home are angry that we've got competitive advantage and all that jazz.
"What if I was a Traitor and she was a Faithful and I was just keeping her alive the whole time? It's very unfair, especially if she knows."
He added: "So, no, you're not allowed. That was the very strict rule. You would sacrifice the prize pot and could get taken out of the game. If you're a Traitor, you cannot tell anyone else that you're a Traitor."
After Alex was placed on trial by the Traitors alongside Ivan and John, Tom revealed their secret relationship to the rest of the group, ultimately costing him his place on the show.
After this revelation, the couple have been asked non-stop on social media if the two are still together following the show. Tom told the publication: "Everyone's mentioned that! She's getting so many DMs from so many guys!
"There's been a DM that was like, 'Ah, you and Matt are such a better couple than you and Tom,' and it actually gives me so much clarity that people at home actually have no idea about us. It makes me a bit happier that they're saying this.
"But non-stop, everyone's asking, 'Are you still together? Are you still together?' And we are – but we always have been. We've gone through worse."
The remaining contestants, some of whom are Traitors and some are Faithfuls, are hoping to stay in the competition without being eliminated or murdered in the hopes of winning up to £120,000.
The Traitors continues on Wednesday 14 December at 9pm on BBC One.
