The Traitor's Kieran causes chaos in final with 'parting gift' to expose Wilf

Kieran Tompsett's 'parting gift' to his fellow contestants on The Traitors completely changed the course of Thursday's final a he threw Wilf under the bus, in a move some viewers argued 'ruined the game.'

Kieran has had a real journey on The Traitors, having been given his marching orders on the first day of filming, along with Amos, after they put themselves at the end of the line after a vote on who was the most likely to succeed in the game. Having ordered them to leave immediately, host Claudia Winkleman then chose her three Traitors - Alyssa, Amanda and Wilf.

Kieran and Amos were re-introduced to the game when Claudia played an epic twist during a challenge. Amos was then murdered by Amanda and Wilf, before Wilf then recruited him as a last ditch ally, after throwing Amanda under the bus in the Round Table.

It quickly became apparent that neither Kieran or Wilf trusted each other and in the final Round Table of the series, both voted for each to go. And, while Kieran was also banished by Aaron, Hannah and Meryl, he declared his vote for Wilf was 'a parting gift.'

That immediately put the finger of suspicion on Wilf and, while he made a desperate plea of innocence, when given the chance to have another banishment, both Aaron and Hannah voted to, before they and Meryl sent Wilf packing right at the death, with him giving an emotional goodbye speech.

His last ditch exit meant that Aaron, Hannah and Meryl all shared the £101,000 prize fund and, while some people watching at home, argued that Kieran deserved a cut of the cash, others said he shouldn't have been allowed to 'ruin the game' by exposing Wilf.

Taking that stance, one viewer complained: "Kieran shouldn’t have been allowed to ruin the game like that. Will played a blinder and was the rightful winner. No point if the last one uncovered can just (effectively) tell everyone who the remaining traitor is."
