The top ten North East chippies by the sea according to Google reviews

It's safe to say that there's no meal more British than a spot of seaside fish and chips, with many arguing that the North East is a true hub for the food itself - with landlocked locations struggling to match the same levels of boat-to-plate freshness.

With the Queen's Platinum Jubilee this weekend, many will head out to make the most of the occasion - and there's no doubt that some will unleash their patriotic side and visit their local chippy and make the most of the oversized portions.

And while fish and chips isn't exactly going out of fashion across the region, with more than enough locations, some are simply a cut above the rest. For those searching for the catch of the weekend, we've accumulated a list of the best seaside-based chippies across North East according to Google Reviews.
