The Times has released its Scottish School League Table with Glasgow's Jordanhill School taking top place.
The table covers state schools and has been compiled based on the percentage of pupils achieving the Scottish government’s “gold standard” of five Highers in 2021. It also shows the number of leavers.
This marks Jordanhill's sixth year at the top of the board. It is Scotland's only state school free of council control due to the unique way it is funded by the Scottish Government, rather that local authority.

It is also pointed out that the vast majority of pupils in Scotland's top 10 schools live in the country's most affluent areas.
Bearsden Academy has bagged second place and only five per cent of its students are from a 'deprived area', with 16 per cent from an 'affluent area' and 73 per cent from a 'very affluent' neighbourhood.
Meanwhile, 80 per cent of pupils from Williamwood High School in East Renfrewshire are from very affluent areas.
With a more mixed bag, 25 per cent of pupils from Glasgow Gaelic School are from 'most deprived areas', 15 from a deprived, 10 per cent from a middle area, 25 perfect from affluent and 24 from very affluent neighbourhood. The school came in sixth place on the board with 59 school leavers.
