Few states in America live up to their nickname quite like Minnesota. The “Land of 10,000 Lakes” indeed has at least that many large 10-acre bodies of water surrounded by land all over. It’s part of what makes visiting the state to hang out in the summer so delightful for residents and tourists alike.
This year, the Minnesota Timberwolves will be paying tribute to the state’s lakes and the culture surrounding them.
On Sunday, the Timberwolves revealed their special “City Edition” jerseys for the 2023-2024 season. They are lovely royal blue and white uniforms designed expressly as an homage to Minnesota’s lakes.
And folks: they look incredible to me.

Honestly, many of these City Edition and special jerseys can be pretty underwhelming sometimes. But the Timberwolves hit this one out of the park. I really want to hang out around a lake all of a sudden.
