And while property prices in Bristol have risen by almost 95 per cent in the last decade according to a study conducted by the online trading platform, CMC Markets, this “light and airy” home is a steal for a cash buyer looking to take on a renovation project.
The rightmove listing states the Moor Grove home has “vast potential”, but is in need of “modernisation throughout”. The house boasts steps leading to an entrance porch, a sizable kitchen and living room, multiple reception rooms as well as outside W/c and outbuildings. It also offers a spacious rear garden and solar panels.
The home is situated within close proximity to three railway stations, Shirehampton, Sea Mills and Avonmouth. It’s also less than a mile away from a number of schools including Oasis Academy Long Cross, Kingsweston and Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Primary school which has been rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.
As of October 14 this year, a statement on Rightmove said: “Properties in Lawrence Weston had an overall average price of £343,528 over the last year.” Adding that the “majority of sales in the area “during the last year were semi-detached properties, selling for an average price of £274,162”. Meanwhile, “terraced properties sold for an average of £292,750, with detached properties fetching £677,389”.
“Overall, sold prices in Lawrence Weston over the last year were 8% up on the previous year and 9% up on the 2018 peak of £316,019,” it added.
