Arsenal have a few hours to conclude their January transfer business, as after today (Tuesday) they'll have to wait until the summer to address their first-team squad.
The deadline is at 11pm tonight - meaning the clock is ticking to get those all-important deals over the line. For the Gunners, the focus so far has been on improving Mikel Arteta's senior squad and that task has proven to be successful with around £41million being spent on two players.
Leandro Trossard has arrived from fellow Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion to increase Arsenal's attacking options and Jakub Kiwior can provide competition and cover for Gabriel Magalhaes as the left-sided central defender. With that said, all signs are pointing toward the club trying to sign another player.

Meanwhile, those who have actually returned to north London only to depart temporarily once again include Miguel Azeez, Arthur Okonkwo, Ovie Ejeheri and Brooke Norton-Cuffy, with at least two more names set to be added to this season's loan army before the 11pm deadline.

After Marquinhos' move to Norwich City was confirmed this morning, what else is in store for the Gunners between now and the 11pm deadline? Well, football.london takes you through the three transfers currently in play.
Incomings
Arsenal have had two offers for Moises Caicedo rejected by Brighton & Hove Albion. Furthermore, the Seagulls have made it clear that they have no intention of selling their star midfielder - this is despite Roberto De Zerbi seemingly hinting that an exit for the Ecuador international was a possibility.
"It's already difficult for me to be a coach. To be a coach and a chairman would be too difficult but [Moises] Caicedo is a very, very good guy. I can understand because when you are 21 and you receive a request from a big, big team that are playing in Europe, I can understand," he said (via SussexLive). "I would like for him to finish the season with us but we are ready to go forward without him.
"I think I need some players in some positions. I spoke a lot of times with Tony [Bloom], he knows my opinion very well, because we are a good team but we can improve also from the transfer market window. We lost [Leandro] Trossard and if we lose Caicedo it can be problem for us. If we want to fight for a European spot or to finish high in the table if you don't stay like this, you can stay [like this] but I don't like."
Even with Brighton standing firm, football.london understands that Arsenal were hopeful of getting a deal done to bring in Caicedo before the January transfer window closes at 11pm tonight, but having accepted defeat attentions have turned to Jorginho with a £12m move set to be confirmed.
Outgoings
After losing to Manchester City in the fourth round of the FA Cup last Friday in addition to crashing out of the Carabao Cup in the third round against Brighton back in November, the Gunners now have a maximum of 27 games left to play across all competitions this season.
And with Arteta already settled on his strongest XI, those on the fringes of the first-team squad will be allowed to depart by the end of the day. One is Cedric Soares, whose loan move to Fulham can be completed once the Cottagers sign Shane Duffy permanently to meet Premier League regulations.
Meanwhile, Albert Sambi Lokonga is set to join Crystal Palace on loan. The midfielder will drop even further down the pecking order once Jorginho arrives at the Emirates Stadium and it's been decided that his development will be aided by regular game time at Selhurst Park.
