The Thomas Tuchel team members with Chelsea jobs under Graham Potter with Frank Lampard decision

Along with overhauling a playing squad and internal management structure, Todd Boehly now has the backroom staff for Graham Potter to set about his work as Chelsea coach.

The Englishman will manage his first game against RB Salzburg and is in a completely new situation, but he does have some familiar faces on board to help him..

After Thomas Tuchel was sacked, taking the majority of his staff with him, Potter retained the services of several Chelsea members. Key positions were there before Potter's introduction and those who could help him oversee a transitional period at the club.

The club have announced that Potter's group of backroom staff will be: Billy Reid, Bruno Saltor, Bjorn Hamberg, Anthony Barry, Henrique Hilario, Ben Roberts, and Kyle Macauley.

With five new additions coming with Potter from Brighton (Reid, Saltor, Hamberg and Macauley), they will join Barry, who has been at the club since Frank Lampard appointed him. The former Forest Green Rovers and Fleetwood player has become a vital cog at Cobham and specialises in set-pieces, though that has been far from evident this season.

Barry will be an assistant coach alongside Reid, Saltor and Hamberg, whilst Hilario is joined as a goalkeeping coach by Roberts. Macauley is a recruitment analyst whose work has been heavily praised in the past.

Showing off his new team at Chelsea, Potter said, "I met Bjorn pretty much the first day I arrived in Sweden [at Ostersund]. We've obviously worked together since. We got to know each other very well. He's a combination of a good person and a capable person, so he is a really important member of the squad.

"Billy as well gave a lot of experience. Really good with people, building connections with people at the club and is someone that the players really enjoy working with. Two really important guys and fantastic that they're here with us.

"Bruno has had a fantastic playing career, and he was a legend at Brighton. A captain has a huge personality and is a really impressive guy. He was at the start of his coaching journey, but you could tell immediately that he had a great manner, great intelligence, humility, and respect for people. He's a top person, so he quickly fits in with our team, the same with Ben. He's really looking forward to working with the goalkeepers here. He's really enthusiastic about what he does, a fantastic person and really enthusiastic about helping and improving the guys."
