It has been a mixed start to the season for Leeds United. Seven points from the opening three matches has been followed by just two from their next four and all of a sudden the pressure to return to winning ways is starting to build.
It could be said that Leeds have had one of the more favourable fixture lists to start the season. Jesse Marsch’s side have played just one of the so called ‘big six’, while also facing four of the sides that finished directly above them last term: Everton, Southampton, Aston Villa and Brentford.
Their other two fixtures came against Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Leeds have managed to accumulate just six points from the aforementioned six matches this season, which is a total that needs to be higher if they want to progress.
