The WorldPride opening concert kicked off one of Sydney's biggest weekends in years. (ABC News: Kevin Nguyen)

Crowds packed out the Domain in Sydney to witness a galaxy of stars, including Kylie Minogue and Jessica Mauboy, take to the stage for the WorldPride opening concert last night.

It is the first time WorldPride, which was first staged in 2000 and celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community, has been held in the southern hemisphere.
