The Suspect viewers praised a 'phenomenal' finale tonight on ITV as Catherine McCain's killer was finally revealed.
Fans couldn't believe the "shock" spin during this evening's fifth and final episode of Aidan Turner hit-television crime drama.
The programme, which follows Aidan's character psychologist Dr Joe O'Loughlin, concluded tonight after a short series of episodes which left viewers on the edge of their seats.
In the series finale, it was revealed DJ the plumber killed Catherine McCain and several others after feeling immense guilty over leaving Bobby, who turned out to be his brother, to be abused by their mother.
The two brothers worked together to frame Joe for the killings, after Joe mistakenly accused Bobby's dad of abusing his son, instead of his mum. Bobby's dad went on to take his own life.
Bobby researched those involved in his dad's case and decided to reap his revenge.
People on Twitter rallied behind Turner for his "passionate and dramatic" performance across all five episodes of the show.
"Another amazing crime drama from start to finish," said one viewer on Twitter. They added: "Fantastic work from Aidan Turner #thesuspect."

The show followed Dr Jo , who appeared to have the perfect life having recently gone viral after rescuing a young patient who was ready to jump from the 10th floor of the hospital where Joe worked.
When a young woman was found dead in West London cemetery, questions were raised over whether it was murder or suicide. As a successful author, Dr Joe's opinion is much sought after, and he was only too willing to offer help with profiling and his expertise.
Known for his risk-taking and rule-breaking, questions of Joe's methods and motivations were asked.
