Borussia Dortmund secured their biggest European win in 59 years and their highest-ever Champions League win against Celtic.
And club legend and current advisor Matthias Sammer reckons they have now set the standards for the rest of the competition.
Celtic were mauled in Germany after a humiliating 7-1 defeat to Dortmund.
It was BVB's biggest Champions League win and their best European win since an 8-0 romp against Maltese minnows Floriana in 1965.
But Sammer - who also managed the club to a Bundesliga title - has insisted they have to keep that level of performance up in every match.
He pointed out: "A game like this sets standards.
"We can allow ourselves to be happy and enjoy the win. But the question I want to know is can we play to this standard against Union Berlin at the weekend?
"We have now shown what we can do and how good we can be, but we need to do this every week.
"There are no excuses. The players have shown how good they can be."

How does Celtic's Dortmund disaster leave Scotland's coefficient?
Meanwhile, the loss also marks the third time Brendan Rodgers has watched his side concede seven goals in the Champions League, having lost 7-0 against Barcelona in 2016 and 7-1 against Paris Saint-Germain in 2017.
This also makes him the first and only manager to have conceded seven goals in the competition on more than one occasion, far less three times.
Other teams have conceded more goals in one match – Dinamo Zagreb lost 9-2 against Bayern Munich last month; whereas Basiktas lost 8-0 to Liverpool in 2008, and Malmo to Real Madrid by the same margin in 2015 – but with six games of this season's UCL campaign remaining, the Irishman will naturally be keen to avoid similar deficits moving forward.
