The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, a renowned luxury vacation spot, has recently completed a comprehensive $45 million property-wide renovation. This extensive upgrade, carried out over multiple years and coinciding with the resort's 15th anniversary, encompasses enhancements to all common areas, public spaces, the spa, outdoor wedding venues, as well as the redesign of guest rooms and suites. Noteworthy additions include five new beachfront villas and the Marietas Pool.
Located in Punta Mita, a prestigious 1,500-acre resort and residential community on Mexico's Riviera Nayarit, the St. Regis Punta Mita Resort is approximately a 45-minute drive from Puerto Vallarta. Punta Mita has long been a favored vacation destination for celebrities like Beyoncé, Leonardo DiCaprio, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jennifer Lawrence.
The resort collaborated with Mexico-based design firm B-Huber to infuse the property with a Mexican-Mediterranean ambiance that pays homage to the natural surroundings and cultural heritage of the destination. The redesign prominently features local materials and textures such as travertine marble, blown glass, clay ceilings, hammered brass, and natural woods.
The newly introduced beachfront villas offer one to three-bedroom accommodations, ideal for families or larger groups, with terraces featuring personal lounge pools and direct beach access. All 120 guest rooms and suites have been updated with locally inspired interior touches like Mexican art and handcrafted finishes.
As part of the renovation, The St. Regis Spa enhanced its outdoor facilities and treatment rooms, while the resort introduced new dining options including several restaurants and a lobby bar. Chef Pablo Arias has been appointed as the executive chef of the resort.
Another prominent presence in Punta Mita is the Four Seasons Resort, which recently added the all-inclusive camp Naviva. This adults-only property offers luxury tent accommodations priced at over $4,000 per night, inclusive of complimentary spa and activity experiences.
