Moo Deng isn’t the only unlikely prophet who predicted that Donald Trump would win the 2024 US election. It turns out The Simpsons also predicted that Kamala Harris would lose 24 years ago.
In a resurfaced clip from season 11, episode 17 titled “Bart to the Future”, Lisa is depicted as the president of the United States, having taken office following the Trump administration — yep, The Simpsons also predicted Trump would become president way back in 2000. Spooky!
In a scene set in the Oval Office, Lisa says: “As you know, we’ve inherited quite a budget crunch from President Trump.”
In a subsequent scene, a TV presenter is seen standing in front of a map of America, and we see an image that shows which states had been declared in favour of Lisa Simpson, and which had been won by her running mate, who is an unnamed bloke in a suit.

As you can see from the above images, the map was very similar to the one showing which states were won by the Democrats and which were in favour of Republicans.
Naturally, punters have taken to social media to point out how bloody bizarre it is that The Simpsons has predicted yet another major world event.
“WTF SIMPSONS ARE FROM THE FUTURE THEY GOT LITERALLY THE EXACT MAP FROM THIS ELECTION,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“The Simpsons map and the actual map being the same is so insane to me,” wrote another.
Back in 2016 after Trump got elected, The Simpsons gloated about its accurate prediction with the following scene:
Speaking to IndieWire at the time, The Simpsons Executive Producer James L. Brooks said he’s as horrified as anyone that what started as a joke has turned into cold stark reality.
“We’ve all been obsessed with this election, but that’s us not the show,” he said. “We’ve done some satirical online pieces. It started out peacefully when Trump went down the escalator and Homer went into his hair. That’s how innocent it was when it started.
“It was a joke. It was preposterous at the time. It stopped being a joke when the dynamic of him reaching a lot of Americans started. Then people speculated whether he really wanted the job. People speculated that maybe he was kidding. But you have to believe in the country.”
