After years of silent appearances, The Simpsons has finally brought Apu Nahasapeemapetilon back to a speaking role, with Indian-American actor Sunil Malhotra taking over from Hank Azaria.

Malhotra made his debut in Sunday night’s episode, Treehouse of Horror Presents: The Revengening, alongside The Morning Show actor Janina Gavankar, who plays Apu’s wife, Manjula — a character previously voiced by Jan Hooks and Tress MacNeille.
