Scotland's Covid rates are the highest in the UK - with the top 10 worst hotspots all Scottish areas.
Cases are soaring again, driven by new Covid variants after infections plateaued following the Omicron wave peaking in early January.
The most recent data shows that the worst-affected areas are in Scotland, with 84,663 new positive cases from the week of March 6 to 12, according to figures from Public Health Scotland.
Stealth Omicron, also known as BA.2, is believed to be behind the country's high Covid rates, said Scotland's Chief Medical Officer.
On an appearance on BBC's Good Morning Scotland, Professor Sir Gregor Smith said that about 85 percent of Scottish infections were thought to be Stealth Omicron.
Infection rates are highest in Scotland compared to any other region with almost than 1,500 cases per 100,000 people.
In comparison, that rate is 842.7 in Northern Ireland, 542.1 in England, 476.6 in London and 268.8 in Wales, according to the UK's Department of Health and Social Care.
A Public Health Scotland map shows Scotland swathed in purple, which indicates all local authorities have the highest rate - 800 or more cases per 100,000 of the population.
The record rates precede the removal of all remaining travel restrictions on March 18.
