Football fans have flooded the city centre after Manchester City secured a historic European triumph. Jubilant supporters took to Piccadilly Gardens, letting off flares and celebrating after the Blues beat Inter Milan 1-0 in Istanbul.

One City fan even clambered on top of a bus stop. Parties are set to last long into the night, with a huge trophy parade confirmed for Monday evening.

After the game, City tweeted: "We will be celebrating our Treble with an open-top bus parade through Manchester city centre on Monday. Can't wait to see you all there!
