Acclaimed Irish band The Saw Doctors are all set to play a rare live show at the Castlefield Bowl arena this summer. The band will headline the date as part of this year’s Sounds of the CIty festival.
The show happens on July 1, with a support slot coming from Irish singer-songwriter Damien Dempsey. Tickets will go on sale this Friday (February 17) at 9.30am.
Discovered by Mike Scott from The Waterboys at a show in Galway in the late 80s, guitarist Leo Moran’s band is best known for the single I Useta Lover, which hit number one in Ireland in 1990 and remains one of the best-selling Irish singles of all time.
