The Rolling Stones much anticipated Anfield Stadium show is finally here.
The legendary band's gig is part of a celebratory tour marking their 60 years in the music industry, with the band first forming back in 1962. Original members Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood are to be joined by drummer Steve Jordan, following the death of Charlie Watts last summer.
The Rolling Stones SIXTY tour will see the rock icons visit a number of high profile European destinations, including Munich, Milan, Amsterdam, London and Liverpool. The band's Liverpool gig will take place this evening and is the band's first performance in in the city since 1971.

Accompanying them is Liverpool's own Echo & The Bunnymen, who were formed in 1978. The Killing Moon hitmakers will take to the stage at 7.30pm, with The Rolling Stones following later. They are set to delight lucky ticket holders with renditions of smash hit songs like You Can't Always Get What You Want, Paint It Black, Sympathy for the Devil, Gimme Shelter and more.
The Rolling Stones will be performing at Anfield Stadium tonight; Thursday, June 9, which is a cashless venue, internally and externally. Here's everything you need to know ahead of the gig:
Banned items
There's a number of items that are prohibited at the event. The full list of banned items is as follows:
- briefcases
- backpacks
- bum bags
- cinch bags
- luggage
- computer bags, camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size
- coolers of any size, soft or hard sided
- audio or recording equipment such as iPads, tablets, computers, etc
- glass, including aftershave and perfume bottles
- alcohol
- weapons, or anything that could be considered a weapon
- flares
- cans
- food
- sprays/deodorants
- laser pointers
- fireworks/pyrotechnics
- studded jewellery
- long chains on wallets/purses
- professional cameras or cameras with detachable lenses
- umbrellas
- selfie sticks
- drugs/illegal substances/legal highs/nitrous oxide/psychoactive substances etc
- anything deemed to be inappropriate or offensive, including clothing
Guests are also asked to not bring any type of bags to the concert. For all performances, guests will only be allowed to carry bags that do not exceed 30 cm x 15 cm x 30 cm (10 inch x 10 inch). Anfield Stadium also operates on a cashless basis.

Weather forecast
The outlook for today, Thursday, June 9, is currently dry according to the Met Office. After a sunny start, it's expected to be cloudy by late morning. By 1pm, there's a 50% chance of rain in place until 5pm when it drops to just 105.
At 4pm when the gates open, the temperature will be around 16 degrees, rising to 17 degrees throughout the evening before dropping to 15 degrees by 11pm. The pollen count is also expected to be very high. Sunset will be at 9.38pm.
Getting to Anfield Stadium
Anfield Stadium is based on Anfield Road, Anfield, Liverpool, L4 0TH. There's a number of ways to get to the stadium, though it's best to plan your route in advance. Using public transport is advised. If you're travelling by bus, there's express services that takes passengers to and from Anfield and Liverpool city centre in around 15 minutes.
The 917 express shuttle bus service operates from Commutation Row in the city centre from 3.30pm each show day. You can find out more by clicking here. From the city centre, there's the 26 from Liverpool ONE bus station; 17 from Queen Square Bus Station or the 917 from Commutation Row, directly to the ground. The 68/168, which operates between Bootle and Aigburth, and the 14 and 19 (from Queen Square) stop a short walk away from the ground.
The Concert Bus will run from Sandhills Station, on the Merseyrail Northern Line, to Anfield for all concerts at Anfield. The Concert Bus will run from 4.30pm on show day. You can find out more by clicking here.
If you're travelling from outside Liverpool by train, Lime Street station is based two miles from Anfield. From 1.30pm each show day, LFC will have a dedicated fan support team based at the station to help direct fans to the most convenient transport services, including buses. There's also taxis available from Lime Street.
If you're travelling by train within the Liverpool area, Merseyrail operates regular services across 67 stations throughout Merseyside. Passengers can get regular services into Liverpool from Ellesmere Port, Chester, West Kirby and New Brighton on the Wirral Line and Southport, Ormskirk, Kirkby and Hunts Cross on the Northern Line.

Road closures
There will be a number of road closures in operation at the event. Walton Breck Road will be closed from 12pm – 12am (midnight).
Anfield Road is a no through road due to LFC's Anfield Road stadium expansion. Bus diversions will be in place for local residents - all the latest information for residents can be found on LFC's local resident hub here.
Parking at Anfield Stadium
There is no car parking available at the stadium. If travelling by car, it's advised to use city centre car parks. An express shuttle bus service ( the 917 ) is available from Commutation Row to the Stadium and will operate 30 minutes before stadium gates open.
There is limited disabled car parking available at Stanley Car Park, which must be pre-booked. Parking can be pre-booked by contacting LFC's disability team at disability@liverpoolfc.com. There are disabled drop off and pick up areas on Arkles Lane and Gilman Street, which service both sides of the stadium.
There are a number of residential streets surrounding the stadium. LFC strongly advises ticket holders not to park on any residential streets, as parking enforcement will be in operation during concerts and major events. Any illegally parked cars will incur a fine.
The Rolling Stones' set list
The set list for the Stones' Anfield gig has yet to be confirmed, though it's likely to be the same as their recent gig in Munich, Germany, which took place on June 5. The set list was as follows:

Support act
The support act for The Rolling Stones is Liverpool's own Echo & The Bunnymen. The band was formed in the city back in 1978.
The original line-up included vocalist Ian McCulloch, guitarist Will Sergeant and bassist Les Pattinson. By 1980, Pete de Freitas had joined as the band's drummer.
Stage times
The doors open at 4pm, though the bands won't take to the stage till later in the evening. Echo & The Bunnymen will perform at 7.30pm.
The Rolling Stones are due on stage at 8.45pm.
