The Rock has renamed Molly McCann's spinning elbow to the "Devastating People’s Meatbow" after her latest KO victory.
The Liverpudlian faced Hannah Goldy this weekend and picked up a first round KO victory, using her new signature elbow during the sequence that led to the stoppage. It was the second time this year that McCann had deployed the spinning shot, having closed the show against Luana Carolina with the same devastating blow in March.
After her latest win, McCann requested The Rock - real name Dwayne Johnson - allow her to continue using her trademark elbow in the future, tweeting: "Excuse me Mr Rock, but can I keep borrowing the peoples elbow. It’s doing me bits." The Rock arguably had one of the most famous signature finish moves in WWE history that was named 'The People's Elbow', which he used on several top level opponents including 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and The Undertaker.
Famous actor Johnson later issued a response on Twitter, writing: From the Electrifying People’s Elbow to the Devastating People’s Meatbow. It's all yours! Keep kicking ass and having fun, champ! Much respect, Mr Rock."
McCann is continuing to make a huge impression in the UFC and has generated huge interest in her recent fights alongside Liverpudlian teammate Paddy Pimblett. A whole host of tests could now come next for McCann who is building up to an inevitable future shot at Valentina Shevchenko.
Despite not entirely closing the fight with just the signature elbow, McCann was delighted with her finish and admitted she was "bladdered" after drinking half a bottle of whiskey in her post-fight celebrations. "I gave you fight IQ, I gave you patience, I gave you positions where i might have been submitted or controlled, none of that," she said during an excited reflection alongside Pimblett.

"I was against the cage and some bird went, 'You smell nice' and in that moment the fight changed. Sometimes I go back and forth in my mind about whether I am who I think I am, am I going to leave a legacy, and this c*** [Pimblett] goes, 'Of course you are, you're the Meatball. Did i think this was coming? I said it in every single interview. Did I think it would be the same finish, yes.
"You've all seen the promo this week, you've seen us go through the same stuff, rinse and repeat. I've drank as much as last time. I'm bladdered. This doesn't feel the same, the last time was special. It wasn't the same because I've done it before but I had much more faith in myself."
