Deion Sanders has been the talk of the sports world as Colorado has raced out to a surprising 2–0 start with wins over TCU and Nebraska in the Pro Football Hall of Famer’s first year on the job. With his larger-than-life personality and knack for producing pithy soundbites, Coach Prime is usually the most charismatic individual in any setting he steps into.
But on Saturday, even he was caught off guard by a celebrity cameo: The Rock.
Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson was in Boulder ahead of the rivalry matchup between Colorado and Colorado State to be the celebrity guest picker on ESPN’s College GameDay. Though the bulk of his picks segment came later in the show, the wrestling icon broke out a surprise WWE-style entrance—complete with his theme music—earlier in the morning to join Sanders on set.
Even Coach Prime was caught flat-footed by the surprise appearance and felt the need to bow down to The Rock before the superstars shared an embrace.

Fresh off of his surprise appearance at WWE Smackdown on Friday, his first in four years, the Rock still manages to make a stirring entrance wherever he goes. With him and Coach Prime both on the same set, it’s safe to say that Boulder is the place to be on Saturday.
