Many Irish people have noticed a phenomenon on their cars and windows in recent days amid the soaring heat.
It comes as more sun is on the way, but with temperatures dropping back down to normal.
Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather shared some photos on his Twitter page on Tuesday, asking his followers if they had noticed a particular phenomenon.
Hot air brought high temperatures to Ireland in recent days, as we all faced abnormally-high heat. However, it also brought something else that is leaving cars and windows in need of a wash.
According to Alan, Sahara dust hit Ireland during the warm weather, which could be seen on windows and on cars.
His Tweet said: “Did you notice dust on your car or windows today?
“Well, the plume of hot air not only brought us high temperatures but also Sahara dust.
“Anywhere that had showers would have seen a lot of dust brought down. The dust moves away with the hot air tonight though.”

Many people from around the country replied to the forecaster about their experiences, with one saying: “Lots of dust on the car in Derry this morning, and we have been having a few showers too.”
“Noticed it here in south Tipperary,” another said.
One Twitter user shared a photo of the dust on their car and said “In Portlaoise.”
A fourth user wrote: “Thank you, Alan. Explains my daughter's asthma/breathing flair-up this evening. Really appreciate you sending that.”
It comes as temperatures are set to drop back down to normal levels after the intense heat over the past few days.
Met Eireann has forecast a few scattered showers to arrive and spread across the country with a risk of mist and fog overnight. One of their forecasters said: “A good deal of dry weather on Wednesday with scattered light showers in the morning Showers will die out through the afternoon for a dry evening.
"Rather cloudy to start, but sunny spells will break through as the day goes on."
