'The real deal' - Manchester United fans go wild as Alvaro Fernandez impresses on loan again

Manchester United fans could not hide their excitement after Alvaro Fernandez impressed once again during his loan spell at Preston North End.

Preston came from behind to beat Norwich City 3-2 in the Championship at Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon. Erik ten Hag would have no doubt been keeping an eye on the game to see how Fernandez got on for his loan side, and the Dutchman would not have been disappointed.

The 19-year-old put in a performance of the highest quality as he provided his second assist in as many games. After being awarded Man of the Match during Preston's 1-0 win over West Brom on Wednesday, the teenager caught the eye once again as he perfectly teed up Danish striker Emil Riis for his goal.

Fernandez has now provided four assists in five starts for Preston as he continues to shine while on loan in the Championship. Ten Hag's tactical set-up requires his full-backs to be an integral part of his system, and the Dutchman will be thrilled with the recent performances of both Fernandez and Ethan Laird, who are showing the United manager what they are capable of in the Championship.

The Spaniard's assist helped Preston record their fourth league win of the season, as they moved up to 8th in the Championship with the win over the Canaries. United fans were clearly dazzled by Fernandez's display, as they took to social media to heap praise on the youngster, who could soon be putting his footballing talents to use at Old Trafford.
