Andy Halliday reckons Olwethu Makhanya won't be a Rangers player for long as he described the defender as a "Rolls-Royce".
The South African international has been excellent for his new club since arriving from Philadelphia Union this summer and he showed his talents again by helping his side to a clean sheet and three points at the home of rivals Celtic.
The 22-year-old breezed through the action and silenced the Hoops attackers who were unable to get the better of their marker.
Makhanya also thought he had made it 2-0 after Ryan Naderi's opener when he volleyed a wonder-strike into the top corner of Viljami Sinisalo's net but it was ruled out for a handball.
Still, former Ibrox midfielder Halliday is convinced the player will go on to make Gers a heap of cash down the line by making a big move if his performances continue.
"Rangers in particular today you talk about the collective, they didn't really have a poor performer in the game," Halliday told BBC Sport Scotland. "But you can certainly highlight a few individuals.
"For me Makhanya, I can't see him being a Rangers player for long. I can't.
"He's an absolute Rolls-Royce of a defender. Duran tried to roll him twice and we know how quick Duran is. When Hassan comes on, Makhanya goes one vs one with Hassan. Complete composure on the ball and his goal...
"Alright it was ruled out and rightfully so it hits his hand, but when it hit the back of the net I couldn't believe what I was watching. It was like Paul Gascoigne against Colin Hendry, just chipped it over his head and volleyed it top corner.
"I just think he's been an absolute revelation since he's come into the side. He's made Fernandez better alongside him as well. But I thought for 20 minutes he was all over the shop."
