Alfredo Morelos' Rangers future continues to hang in the balance and, according to a pundit, the Colombian would have told the club his intentions before now.
That is the view of former Celtic man Frank McAvennie who claims that, after Michael Beale couldn't put a definitive point on the 26-year-old's next steps, Rangers would have been better off taking '£1m or £2m' for both the striker and fellow out-of-contract star Ryan Kent. Both have played an integral part under Beale's tenure but the Englishman was earnest in his comments after his side saw off Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup.
Morelos then took to social media to share a cryptic post as it appears six years at Ibrox could be close to being over. McAvennie, however, insists the situation of the forward leaving for free could have been resolved earlier because the striker would have made his intentions clear to Rangers.

“Even if they got £1m or £2m for each of them, it is better than absolutely nothing,” he told Football Insider.
“I just do not know why they would not have done that, it beggars belief. I can’t believe that they would do that.
“The players would have told Rangers if they were staying or leaving. They might stay and the only reason they will want to stay is because they are not getting any offers.
“I can’t see a queue for Morelos or even Kent. Morelos is still nowhere near what he was and I am just thinking if he wants a move he has got to do it on the pitch.
“It is a strange one what is going to happen with these boys. Only the board will know why they have done this. If they have done it because they think Celtic are going to drop points then it has backfired big time.“
