Tom Sandoval's getting a little breather in the news thanks to The Randall Scandal.
On Monday, May 22, two days ahead of the big Vanderpump Rules reunion, a new documentary titled The Randall Scandal: Love, Loathing, and Vanderpump will hit screens and give Bravoholics more of the drama they're craving—minus #Scandoval.
Though fans are currently immersed in Tom Sandoval's interviews, Raquel Leviss' whereabouts and Ariana Madix's happiness, this doc from Hulu and L.A. Times Studios proves that the SUR gang is no stranger to controversy. The Randall Scandal: Love, Loathing, and Vanderpump hits Hulu on May 22 and focuses on the producer's alleged illicit behavior, from fraud allegations and money issues to drug use and abuse claims.
Like Vanderpump Rules season 10, we hear from Emmett's ex Lala Kent in the doc as she attempts to move on with their daughter after splitting from Emmett. The straw that broke the camel's back, as referenced in Pump Rules, is The Los Angeles Times' exposé that brought all of the allegations against the producer to light.
Lala Kent and Randall Emmett: how did it start?
Lala Kent and Randall Emmett's relationship was rocky from the get-go—and a common talking point throughout various seasons of Pump Rules. The two met in 2015 while Kent was working at SUR and Emmett had an interest in bringing her on for a movie. The relationship took a turn for the romantic, though Kent had to keep things under wraps on-screen, as he was said to be in the middle of a divorce from his first wife, Ambyr Childers, with whom he shares two daughters.
Randall was allegedly still married while pursuing Kent and affording her plenty of luxuries—the infamous Range Rover ring a bell?—which earned her the title of "mistress" amongst some of her cast members (i.e. Raquel Leviss). Eventually, the two got engaged, with Emmett later making his way onto Vanderpump Rules and into the SUR group's good graces.
Randall Emmett and Lala Kent daughter: meet Ocean
In March 2021, after a delayed engagement, the two welcomed a daughter, Ocean. You can catch sweet tidbits of the two-year-old on Kent's Instagram.
"You are truly the most magical child. Anyone who has ever met you has experienced the pure joy that you are," Kent wrote.
When did Lala and Randall break up?
Shortly after Ocean's arrival, things took a turn and Emmett's alleged infidelity caused the couple to part ways in 2021.
"It's been kind of repeated behavior that I have found out about," Kent revealed on Watch What Happens Live in January 2022. "And it's not just one person—it's many. I believe it started after I got sober, and it's just … I don't know how I didn't see it."
Randall Emmett 50 Cent drama: here's what happened
In 2019, a heated exchange unfolded between the rapper and the producer, as 50 Cent claimed Emmett had yet to repay him for a $1 million loan, something we'll see play out in the doc. Nasty and violent jabs were taken at each other online, but eventually, the dust settled when Emmett paid him in full, after a botched apology calling the rapper "Fofty."
There were a few more punches here and there, but oddly enough, Kent ended up on one of the rapper's film sets in 2022, according to People, seemingly meaning their feud had come to a close.
Judging from the appearance of assistants, reporters and even Kent's mother, the doc will pack in plenty of drama.
If you haven't had enough Pump Rules drama, be sure to check out The Randall Scandal when it hits Hulu on May 22.
