Primark stores in Northern Ireland will be closed on Monday to allow staff to watch the Queen's funeral.
The date of Queen Elizabeth II’s State Funeral, Monday September 19, will be a national Bank Holiday. This Bank Holiday will operate in the same way as other Bank Holidays, and there is no statutory entitlement to time off.
It has been confirmed today, that all 191 Primark stores will close on Monday, reopening as normal, on Tuesday September 20.

A Primark spokeswoman said: “Our stores, depots and head office in the UK will be closed on Monday September 19 to give our colleagues the opportunity to pay their respects and watch the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
“We will reopen as normal on Tuesday September 20.”
On the day of the Queen's death, September 8 2022, a spokesperson paid tributes on their social media.
"We are deeply saddened by the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II," they added.
"On behalf of everyone at Primark, we send our heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family for their loss."
Retailers are not required to shut their doors on the day of the funeral, and others may choose to open for reduced hours, as many regularly do on other bank holidays.
The Government guidance is: "Some businesses may wish to consider closing or postponing events, especially on the day of the state funeral, however, this is at the discretion of individual businesses."
