The Queen is now using a wheelchair according to close pals of the Royals who believe it is the reason she is cutting down her appearances.
Our monarch Queen Elizabeth is now 95 and has been holding virtual audiences from Windsor Castle instead of appearing at events.
Two video linked audiences with the Ambassador of Qatar and the Ambassador of Poland were held today as longtime friend of the royals, actor Christopher Biggins claimed he understands Her Majesty is largely confined to a wheelchair.
Attending Buckingham Palace, the two diplomats presented the letters of recall of their predecessors and their own credentials.
Christopher Biggins told GB News yesterday: "I have heard that the reason she’s not doing a lot of the events that she should be doing and cancelling them is because she is in a wheelchair.
The Queen's sister Princess Margaret was seen in a wheelchair at public gatherings, six months before she passed away, and Royal Aides are keen that The Queen is not seen in the same light.
A palace insider said: "It's a haunting image and not one the Queen remembers fondly."
The Queen Mother's page William Tallon, pushed the once glamorous Margaret in her wheelchair as media watched on and a source revealed to The Daily Mail: "The optics were terrible. It was supposed to be about the Queen Mother but all anyone saw was a sadly declining Princess Margaret."
The Queen recently missed the Commonwealth Day service at the Abbey but had some face-to-face audiences and today Her Majesty was onscreen, smiling in a purple dress.
She welcomed the Ambassador of Qatar Fahad bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, and Sheikha Raya Khalifa Abdulla Khalifa Al Khalifa as well as Polish diplomat Professor Piotr Wilczek.
The Duke of Edinburgh's memorial service at Westminster Abbey takes place next week and The Queen will join other members of the royal family in tribute to the 99-year-old duke who died in April last year.
