For so long throughout this pandemic there has been great trepidation over the Queen contracting Covid-19.
Monumental efforts have been made by everyone who has had the duty to care and work for her.
However, she too has made great personal sacrifices by isolating for long periods throughout the crisis.
But the news from Buckingham Palace was delivered with markedly less apprehension than we may have expected in a world before vaccines and less serious strains that appear to be in circulation right now.
Of course, at the age of 95 and has been in ill health in recent months, there is still cause for concern.
However, Her Majesty is triple-jabbed and aside from revealing she and her late husband Prince Philip had received their first vaccinations, she has gone on to call on people to accept the offer of vaccination for the common good.
True to form, royal aides said that while she would follow the guidance and isolate appropriately, she would continue to carry out light duties from her quarters at Windsor Castle.
After an extraordinary start to the year which has seen Prince Andrew ordered to face a civil sex abuse trial, before she helped him reach £12million settlement, and Prince Charles being dragged into allegations of cash for honours, the Queen may well be thankful for a period of isolation after all the drama.
But there is much to look forward to as celebrations are planned for her Platinum Jubilee year and people across the globe will be wishing her a speedy recovery so she can enjoy all to come.
