The Queen has arrived at her residence in Scotland to commence HRH's traditional summer break. Her Majesty spotted at Balmoral on Thursday which closed down earlier this month after a fire broke out nearby.
Arriving shortly after a heatwave swept the nation, the Queen has continued her tradition of taking a break to the countryside despite questions being asked of her health. Scotland has been a retreat for the royal family since Queen Victoria's day, where they relax and enjoy what the rural areas have to offer in the Scottish Highlands.
Queen Elizabeth landed at Aberdeen Airport on Thursday before making her way north to the Aberdeenshire retreat in one of her iconic Range Rovers.

It is unlikely the Monarch will be alone for very long as multiple members of the royal family typically join the expedition every summer, the Daily Record reports. A picture released following the Duke of Edinburgh's death in April last year showed the Queen and her late husband surrounded by their great grandchildren at their Scottish home
It has been suggested that outgoing Prime Minister Boris Johnson may take the trip north for his annual visit to the Monarch's Scottish home, if the new Conservative leader is not decided by then.
Prime Ministers are traditionally invited to stay with the Queen at Balmoral. In the past Harold Wilson, who is said to have "got on like a house on fire" with the Monarch, would join riverside picnics on the estate.
Balmoral was struck by fire earlier this month after an abandoned campfire spread across the area, almost burning up an osprey nest.
The castle itself is open to the public until August 2 - with an exhibition on Life at Balmoral on display for visitors.
