The Pitt's Noah Wyle dedicates walk of fame star to his family

Noah Wyle dedicated his Walk of Fame star to his wife Sara and his children

Noah Wyle dedicated his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame to his family for giving his life "meaning and definition".

The Pitt actor was honoured for his contribution to the entertainment industry over the years with a plaque on the iconic sidewalk in Los Angeles and Noah, 54, used the ceremony on Thursday (09.04.26) to pay tribute to his wife Sara Wells and their daughter Frances, 10, as well as his son Owen, 23, and daughter Auden, 20, from his previous marriage to Tracy Warbin.

The former ER star said: "Becoming part of that history is a true childhood dream come true … I love it more than I can say. It was all I’ve ever wanted to do.

"To my wife, Sara, and my three amazing children, Owen, Auden and Frances, you are my north, south, east, west.

"You are the reason I get up. You're my motivation to try harder. You’re the source of my creativity. I thank you for your inspiration and for giving my life meaning and definition."

Speaking ahead of the ceremony, Noah - who grew up in Los Angeles - spoke about spending time pacing up and down the Hollywood Walk of Fame as a youngster revealing he memorised the names of many of the famous folk immortalised on the street.

He told Variety: “There was a point in time where I had blocks and blocks of those names memorized, and I could do them with my eyes closed.

"I’d look at those names and want to know more about them. I’d read their biographies. I’m a product of this town. I’m a product of this industry, and even though it’s sort of an antiquated pageantry, I’ve always wanted to be part of it."

After the ceremony, Noah admitted it was an emotional moment for him and he's glad he managed to get through his speech without breaking down.

He told Entertainment Tonight: "It's extremely emotional. I was really pleased that I didn’t get this lump in my throat that I thought I was going to get and make it difficult to talk.

"Because I really wanted to say thank you to a lot of people today."
