The Pitt's Noah Wyle poses for rare family snap as he's honoured on Walk of Fame

Noah Wyle was joined by his wife and children as he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, marking a milestone moment in his decades-long career.

The 54-year-old actor, best known for his role as Dr John Carter in ER, posed alongside his family following the ceremony, which is awarded by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

Wyle attended with his wife, Sara, whom he married in 2014, and their daughter Frances, 10.

He was also accompanied by his two older children, Owen, 23, and Auden, 20, from his previous marriage to Tracy Warbin, whom he divorced in 2010.

The actor appeared relaxed as he stood with his family, at one point leaning into Sara for photographs while his children gathered close.

His parents, Marjorie Speer and Stephen Wyle, as well as his sister Alexandra, were also present for the occasion.

Dressed in a blue blazer, tailored trousers and a white shirt, Wyle marked the moment with a kiss for his wife, while his youngest daughter embraced him as he kissed her on the head.

Among those in attendance was Dancing With The Stars judge Derek Hough.

Wyle rose to prominence on the long-running NBC medical drama ER, appearing from its first season in 1994 through to season 11, before returning briefly the following year.

He has since moved into writing, directing and producing, most recently on HBO’s The Pitt.

The series, set in a fictional trauma centre in Pittsburgh, follows a 15-hour hospital shift in real time, with each episode covering a single hour.

Wyle stars as senior physician Dr Michael ‘Robby’ Robinavitch, a character still grappling with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Pitt has proved a critical success, earning multiple Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series and a lead acting win for Wyle.

The show has, however, undergone recent cast changes. It was confirmed last week that Supriya Ganesh, who plays senior resident Dr Samira Mohan, will depart at the end of the second season.

Sources suggest the decision is tied to the storyline, with the series reflecting the natural turnover of staff within a teaching hospital setting.

Meanwhile, Ayesha Harris, who portrays Dr Parker Ellis, is set to take on a larger role, having been promoted to series regular.

The Pitt airs on HBO, with episodes also available on HBO Max in the UK and Ireland
