The Peacocks just upset Kentucky in the NCAA tournament…so where is St. Peter’s?

The St. Peter’s Peacocks entered Thursday night’s men’s NCAA tournament as a 15-seed. They proceeded to dethrone one of the blue bloods of college basketball as the Peacocks played Cinderella and upset No. 2-seed Kentucky, 85-79. It was St. Peter’s first NCAA tournament win in school history, and it’s certainly a memorable one.

Daryl Banks III went off to the tune of 27 points, and teammate Doug Edert finished with 20 points as the Peacocks kept the highly favored Wildcats within reach all game.

So that begs the question that many college basketball fans might have at this moment: Where exactly is St. Peter’s University?

If you guessed Jersey City, New Jersey, you’d be correct!

The Peacocks hope to keep the magic going in the second round where they’ll face either Murray State or San Francisco.
