The Pact makes its long-awaited return to BBC One on Monday, October 24. The series, which is written by Pete McTighe, returns following a successful first edition last year.
Series 2 of The Pact shares only the same name as its predecessor, as there will be an entirely new cast and story this time round. The synopsis reveals that the new series "centres around Christine Rees and her adult children - Megan, Will, and Jamie - whose lives are changed forever when they are contacted by a young man claiming to be a fifth, previously unknown, Rees sibling".
According to the BBC, the new series is "another edge-of-the-seat morality tale with loveable, complex characters under extreme pressure, navigating blood ties and divided loyalties while facing the ghosts of their past". But who is in the cast of the new series?

Who is in the cast of The Pact's second series?
Rakie Ayola as Christine Rees
Much like the first series, series 2 of The Pact boasts an all-star cast that is led by Rakie Ayola, who also serves as an executive producer on the new series. Rakie, who appeared in the first series of The Pact, plays an entirely new character and stars as Christine Reesthis time round.
In the new series, Christine's life will change forever when she is contacted by someone claiming to be a relation of hers - Connor, played by Jordan Wilks.
Jordan Wilks as Connor
In his first screen role, Jordan Wilks plays Connor, who turns the Rees family upside down when he meets them. Of his first part on TV, Jordan said: "Because this is my first big TV production I was like a deer in headlights. But it was just soaking it all up and hearing Pete’s vision of what he intended for the characters and how they all mixed, which was invaluable to hear from the writer of the show."
Connor added that he found the experience of filming in Cardiff to be, "eye-opening". He said: "Going to Cardiff was an eye-opener. When you grow up in London you just think everything revolves around London; 'this is the best city in the world' - I’ve gone on record saying that many times. Then I went to Cardiff, and I was like, 'hold on a sec. Maybe I got that wrong?"
Mali-Ann Rees as Megan Rees
Welsh actress Mali-Ann Rees stars as another Rees in The Pact: series 2. The actress, who recently wowed at BAFTA Cymru, has previously had roles in BBC's Tourist Trap and the third series of Keeping Faith alongside Eve Myles.
Of her character in The Pact, Mali said: "Megan is definitely going through the quarter-life crisis, which I can relate to. There is an uncertainty about what exactly you are meant to be doing and where you are meant to be in life."
Lloyd Everitt as Will Rees
Elsewhere in the cast is Lloyd Everitt as Will Rees - one of Christine's sons. Will, who is a "smart and successful businessman" proved to be an interesting character for Lloyd to play. Prior to being in The Pact, he has appeared in Netflix's The Sandman and is also the youngest person ever to play Othello at Shakespeare's The Globe Theatre.
Lloyd said of Will: "What I found interesting was his inner workings. Why are we the way we are in any walk of life? What makes one person behave this way and another person behave that way? What happened to them in their childhood? What events did they go through to manifest into this version of themselves? As I am getting older and more experienced and more mature, I can see that Will is a brilliant, complex character."
Aaron Anthony as Jamie Rees
Completing the Rees family is Aaron Anthony, who plays Jamie Rees. The character is described as "kind and sensitive with painted blue nails and a slash of eyeliner" - this, in itself, was appealing to the actor, who has limited screen credits to his name.
"As soon as I read that description of him, I was really excited by the part. It’s nice to see a sensitive male character onscreen. He’s in his early 20s, so he is exploring that, and in this small town he is a bit of a unicorn. He’s got this pull. He’s been at university in London studying art, so he has all this expression in him. And I think that kindness really comes through in how he’s written. That’s been really fun to play," said Aaron of his his character.
The Pact's second series begins on BBC One Wales at 9pm on Monday, October 24
