The Outlook for a Bumper Brazil Coffee Crop Hammers Prices

May arabica coffee (KCK26) today is down -6.80 (-2.15%), and May ICE robusta coffee (RMK26) is down -3 (-0.08%).

Coffee prices are retreating today on the outlook for a record Brazil coffee crop.  Marex Group Plc today projected a record 2026/27 Brazil coffee crop of 75.9 million bags, even higher than last week's forecast from Sucafina of 75.4 million bags, up +15.5% y/y.  Earlier this month, StoneX raised its Brazil 2026/27 coffee production estimate to a record 75.3 million bags, up from a November estimate of 70.7 million bags.
