The Osbournes are making a comeback to reality TV after a nearly two-decade absence. The family made its reality debut on MTV back in 2002 as the cameras followed the home life of Black Sabbath singer Ozzy Osbourne, his wife Sharon Osbourne and their children Kelly and Jack.
Now the Osbournes will make a big return, as the couple come back to the UK. A new BBC series called Home To Roost will follow the Osbournes as they try to settle back into life in the Home Counties and adjust to living away from Los Angeles.
The BBC told The Mirror it promises to be a "funny, moving and honest insight" into the family and their new home life. The show is likely to be popular – The Osbournes was MTV’s most-viewed series.

Clare Sillery, head of documentaries at the BBC, said: "Twenty years ago, the Osbournes left Britain for a life in LA. Now they are coming 'home to roost', back to their family home, pretty much as they left it all those years ago.
"In this new series, our audience will be able to follow the family as they settle back into their new life in a Buckinghamshire village...it promises to be a funny, moving and honest insight into their new life back in the UK."
Sharon and Ozzy are said to be excited about the new show. A source told The Sun : "More from the Osbournes has been discussed a lot over the years. They’re internationally renowned and telly execs have long thought it would be great to do a new show."
Factfile: Remembering The Osbournes
- The Osbournes have another daughter, Aimee, who refused to participate in the show and publicly criticised her parents for their antics on the show.
- Ozzy confirmed in an interview on BBC Radio 2 in May 2009 that he was "stoned during the entire filming of The Osbournes".
- The theme song for the show was a cover of Ozzy's song Crazy Train by Lewis Lamedica.
- Concurrent with the success of the series, Kelly Osbourne launched a brief career as a singer.
