Liverpool FC are set to kick off their Premier League campaign against Fulham and the only way to legally watch the game will be on BT Sport in the UK.
Those with Virgin, Sky or BT TV contracts will be able to subscribe to BT Sports as an add on to their standard package and that will be the only way fans will be able to view the game via their contracted TV service.
There is a way to watch the game today and get access to the Liverpool vs Newcastle fixture and Merseyside derby against Everton at Goodison Park for a one-off payment of £25 even without a Sky or BT subscription. BT has launched monthly passes to allow fans to watch the opening Premier League game of the season without signing up for a contract.
The pass can be purchased here.
Using daily and monthly passes can be a useful trick to watching Liverpool FC this season and can potentially lower the cost of following the Reds as they launch another title challenge.
By only signing up to passes for the first three months of the season the cost will be:
- August 6 - BT Pass (£25)
- Fulham, Newcastle and Everton fixtures - August 15 - One day NowTV Pass (£11.99)
- Crystal Palace fixture - August 22 - One day NowTV pass (£11.99)
- Manchester United fixture - September 18 - NowTV Pass (£33.99)
- Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City fixtures - October 19 - Amazon Prime trial (Free)
- West Ham United fixture - October 22 - BT Pass (£25)
- Nottingham Forest fixture - October 30 - One day NowTV Pass (£11.99) Leeds fixture.
The total cost will come out at £121.97, which is £100 cheaper than the Sky packages and does not tie you in to a contract of any kind.
