‘The Onion’ spoofs Chiefs TE Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift in hilarious Christmas article

World-class satire publication ‘The Onion’ spoofed Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s relationship with musical superstar Taylor Swift in an article that was posted to the comedically inclined newspaper’s website on Christmas Day.

In the feature, which was clearly written with humorous intent, Kelce purportedly presented Swift with a suspiciously football-shaped gift for the Christmas holiday, which the article states was acquired at no cost through his job with the Chiefs.

Though the story is fake, the challenge of finding a Christmas gift suitable for a 14-time Grammy winner is—in all likelihood—all too real.

Check out the full article from ‘The Onion’ here.

Luckily, the star tight end didn’t seem to be affected by any real-life Yuletide drama, and Kelce was able to make his presence felt on Kansas City’s first offensive against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Stay tuned to see if ‘The Onion’ will continue to crack wise about Kelce if the Chiefs secure the AFC’s No. 1 playoff seed with a win in Week 17.
