The One Show's Alex Jones stunned her co-star Ronan Keating with an unexpected jibe as the BBC One presenters interviewed Strictly Come Dancing's Fleur East. The pair sat down with the radio presenter following last week's dreaded dance-off, which saw Fleur and her partner Vito Coppola in the bottom two alongside Richie Anderson and Giovanni Pernice.
Anton Du Beke, Motsi Mabuse, and Craig Revel-Horwood unanimously voted to save Fleur and Vito, sending Richie home. Many viewers at home were furious Richie and Fleur had found themselves in the bottom two, you can read more on this here.
Interviewing the singer at The One Show studio, Alex asked: "I think we were all really surprised to see you in the bottom two with poor Richie as well, how did you feel?"

Responding Fleur said: "Honestly, my initial reaction was I have to do that again, with all those terrifying lifts Vito has thrown into the routine. I was like, oh my goodness. But genuinely I wasn't shocked that I was there, this is how the show goes."
Ronan then asked: "You must prepare yourself mentally for a situation like that, do you?"
"Yes, when you hear your name and you are in that position... I don't think there is anything that can prepare you," Fleur replied. "You're so nervous. You work so hard all week for that one performance and have to do it again and go up against someone that your really like."
Fleur then discussed how close the Strictly cast members are this year, and how saying goodbye to one another is really difficult. She continued: "Our group is so tight, we genuinely are rooting for everybody.
"My initial reaction as soon as I found out they'd saved me, I didn't even celebrate, I just looked at Richie straight away and just went... (pulls sad face)."
Alex then surprised the studio and her co-star by responding: "But as Ronan said earlier, callous some would say, somebody has got to go."
"Did I say that?" a baffled-looking Ronan responded as Alex, Fleur and studio members behind the scenes burst out laughing. "He's a lovely boy," Alex then joked as she placed her hand on Ronan's shoulder.
