Alex Jones has given fans an insight into life as a working parent as she shared a picture from what seemed to be her morning commute to her Instagram stories on Monday, November 14.
The Welsh presenter, who co-hosts The One Show with a roster of famous faces - Ronan Keating, Jermaine Jenas, and Roman Kemp who was jokingly warned by Alex on last week's show over interviewing his famous dad, Martin - posted a snap from the back of a car of her holding a coffee cup which had the design of much-loved kids television show Peppa Pig.
Looking fresh-faced, the 45-year-old from Ammanford wrote: "Tell me I'm a parent with[out] telling me I'm a parent." Sporting a mustard yellow cosy knit, she added to the bottom of the post: "Good Morning." The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant - she appeared on the show in 2011 and was partnered with professional dancer James Jordan - shares two sons, Teddy, five and Kit, three, and daughter Annie, who is one, with her insurance broker husband Charlie Thomson. Previously, she has said that her daughter, who was somewhat of a surprise, saved the pair.
As reported by The Express, Alex said: "Annie was a huge surprise. But she was very much wanted. I just love having the three of them. I always wanted a little gang. And Annie is a dream. She’s been the easiest baby. She’s just lovely and I remind myself every day to tell her when she’s older that she was the most incredible baby. She’s saved us completely. You wouldn’t even know she was there, she’s so good.”
The presenter's Instagram post comes amid The One Show's preparation for Children In Need - a new fundraising challenge called the Surprise Squad. Last week, Alex was seen hosting the show alone as Jermaine Jenas had made a headstart on the challenges with the squad - read more on that here.
As stated on the website: "The Surprise Squad is made up of five inspirational young people who have been supported by BBC Children in Need and want to give back and lend a helping hand to benefit others.
Joined by The One Show presenters, Alex Jones, Ronan Keating and Jermaine Jenas, the Surprise Squad will head to locations around the country where they will complete surprise challenges for BBC Children in Need-funded projects that deserve a little help with something."
And with Ronan and Jermaine having helped out on challenges last week, it seems that Alex is next in line. For more information on this challenge, see the website.
The One Show airs weekdays at 7pm on BBC One.
