Welsh presenter Alex Jones has shared one of the gripes she has about husband Charlie Thomson. The 46-year-old, who was born in Carmarthenshire, opened up about her home life while chatting to Irish comedian Dara Ó Briain about his podcast, Timewasters.
In Dara’s podcast he chats to various guests about moments in their life that they’ll never get back. When discussing the topic on BBC’s The One Show on Tuesday, May 23, Alex’s co-host Jermaine Jenas asked her when she felt like her time had been wasted.
“I hate time wasting,” Alex confessed before sharing her husband’s unusual habit. “My husband does a lot of stuff, mainly Charlie, watching rugby videos in the loo or fishing videos.”
Dara asked Alex: “You think an efficient toilet time is a good toilet time?” She replied: “Come on! Three minutes, in, out.” For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
Jermaine then joked: “Charlie’s now on a timer?” and Alex said, “it’s not official”.
Alex and Charlie tied the knot at Cardiff Castle on New Year’s Eve in 2015. The couple share three children together.
Elsewhere in Tuesday’s episode, Alex and Jermaine chatted to Jordan North and Vick Hope, who revealed who was on the line-up for Radio 1’s Big Weekend. The One Show airs on BBC One on weekdays at 7pm.
