Alex Jones put up a brave front as she presented The One Show last night after posting on social media describing a 'tricky and challenging patch in her life'.
Opening up about her life, the presenter told her 337k followers: "Things have been a bit tricky for us recently and in all honesty, I haven’t had time to be on here between working and the children but I randomly logged on and saw all your lovely messages gently asking if we were all ok.
"I was touched by your kindness and so I just wanted to check in and say thank you, and that even though life has been a bit challenging, we are ok and still managing to enjoy the beginning of the holidays and there's still plenty to smile about! (I'll pop some stuff on my stories) #whenlifegivesyoulemons #thekindnessofstrangers."
Alex made no reference to the post as she co-hosted the BBC One show last night alongside former professional footballer Jermaine Jenas, according to Wales Online. They previewed the Lionesses' Euro semi-final clash against Sweden, with the help of presenter Alex Scott.
They were also joined by three of the Celebrity MasterChef contestants – Danny Jones, Paul Chuckle and Nancy Dell’Olio. Richie Anderson also revealed what we can expect from the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony on Thursday.
Following her post, the television star was inundated with good wishes, as one person wrote: "Sending hugs," and another added: "Sending love Alex to you and your family." Celebrity pals also commented as Good Morning Britain's Charlotte Hawkins wrote: "Hope all OK, sending love," while Izzy Judd added: "Sending love," followed by love heart emojis.
